Various Activities

Professor Kushida, who can be considered the world's foremost authority on sleep medicine, visited. We were introduced to the latest opinions of Stanford University School of Medicine and Hospital and discussed how to improve the level of treatment at the Clionic Lifecare Clinic. We discussed digital healthcare being attempted at the Clionic Lifecare Clinic and ongoing global clinical trials.

As a panel moderator, CEO of Clionic Lifecare Clinic, Younghoon Cho participated in Sleep, Tech, Life 2023, organized by the sleep tech startup Asleep. Along with Professor In-Young Yoon of the Department of Psychiatry and Professor Jung-Hoon Kim of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, we discussed the digital transformation of sleep treatment in hospitals as a panel of experts.

John Lopos, the representative of the National Sleep Foundation, visited our clinic. Clinical psychologists, Neurologist Jung Mina, and research director, Randy were also present during the visit. The Chief Research Officer of ASleep also joined the meeting. They discussed how to collaborate in changing the perception of sleep for promoting healthy sleep.

On May 20th, 2023, I visited the sleep tech startup Asleep Booth at CES2023, the world's largest home appliance exhibition, and had various discussions with Asleep CEO Dong-heon Lee and Professor Stanley Liu of the Stanford School of Medicine. Stanley, who is also an otolaryngologist like me, shared an interest in technological advancement. As otolaryngologists, we discussed how to advance sleep medicine and how more people can sleep comfortably.

Ethiopia is the only African country that participated in the Korean War and was protected by Korea like a blood alliance. Elias, the consul at the Ethiopian embassy in Korea, as well as Hamdi, the president of the Ethiopian Student Association in Korea, and other officials visited the Clionic to discuss medical support for Ethiopians living in Korea and various projects in Ethiopia.
